Full Job Description

Job Summary:

• CAD (SolidWorks) 3D Modeling, and blueprint design
• Custom Product Design and Quoting
• Generate (BOM) Bill of Material in ERP system
• Provide Engineering and product support to Production team, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service

Job Description:

Generate quotes for customers in a timely and professional manner.  Create detailed 3d models and 2d drawings for customer approval.  Add new items and a bill of materials in ERP system.  Create detailed production prints for manufacturing.  Work closely with the production team to ensure product manufacturability and accurate delivery dates.  Provide Engineering support to Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality and Shipping departments as needed.  Assist with document control; maintain current drawing revision levels.

Qualifications:

• CAD degree or certificate preferred
• Experience with SolidWorks required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of drafting standards, geometric dimensioning, tolerances and symbols
• Knowledge of hydraulics, manufacturing, machining, and welding processes preferred
• Experience in metal forming, laser and plasma burning and sheet metal fabrication preferred
• Must be detailed oriented, self-motivated and have a strong mechanical aptitude
